UA High Performance Infrastructure Video

Brothers and Sisters,

As we continue our work delivering reliable and affordable energy to millions of families and modernizing our aging infrastructure, we must remain at the forefront of new technologies and initiatives spurred on by the historic investments made through the bipartisan infrastructure law and efforts of the current administration. Thanks to the United Association’s gold standard training programs and best-in-class instructors, UA members are in prime position to make sure that the jobs created by these initiatives and investments are UA jobs.

To achieve our shared climate goals of reducing carbon emissions, we must work towards an all-of-the-above energy approach that can still deliver the energy our nation needs. Part of that approach includes high-performance infrastructure like heat pump installation and maintenance, hydrogen, heat transfer between buildings, carbon capture, and more. As you will see in this video, much of the work in high-performance infrastructure is already UA work; it only requires updated training and certifications, which can – and will – be completed through our state-of-the-art mobile training trailers and our gold-standard apprenticeship programs at more than 250 training centers nationwide.

United Association members are the best trained and most highly skilled workers in the industry, period. With these new investments and opportunities, that training and skillset will translate to a higher market share and more workhours in these fields. I highly encourage you to watch this video to gain a better understanding of the incredible efforts of our Training Department and our world-class instructors to develop these updated curriculums, and of our ability to lead the industry forward when it comes to high-performance infrastructure and our efforts to achieve our shared energy and climate goals.

Fraternally,

Mark McManus, General President
