United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 114 offers a wide range of technical piping trade skills that are valued throughout the construction industry.

Our Members are the piping professionals that provide Santa Barbara County with the complex piping systems that are responsible for potable water, sanitary systems, medical gas, heating, cooling, and high purity piping for the pharmaceutical and high tech-electronic industries. Our skills and professionalism are also prized by the petroleum industries and Vandenberg Air Force Base, along with an array of other services that keep Santa Barbara the most beautiful destination spot in the world.

UA Local 114 was first chartered in 1902, The United Association of Plumbers, Steamfitters, Refrigeration & HVAC Service Technicians. UA Local 114 is proud to be the oldest, continuously operating craft union in Santa Barbara County — and we are still going strong!

UA Local 114 is a Member of District Council 16.  The District Council administers our Master Labor Agreement, so our benefits and wages are the same throughout Southern California. Workers can transfer throughout Southern California. Visit the District Council 16 website for more details. Our Members have full medical insurance, a 401K, two pensions and free training and certification.

Our onsite training center offers a wide variety of classes relevant to the Pipe Trades. Visit the A&J website for more information about our Pipe Trades training classes.

The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States, Canada (UA), affiliated with the national building trades, represents approximately 340,000 plumbers, pipefitters, sprinkler fitters, service technicians and welders in local unions across North America. We also honor a federation agreement with both the Australian Plumbing Trades Employees Union (PTEU) and Irish Technical, Engineering Electrical Union (TEEU). The UA has been training qualified pipe tradesmen and women longer than anyone else in the industry.

We provide the premier training programs available in the industry today, including five-year apprenticeship programs, extensive journeyman training, a comprehensive, five-year instructor training program, and numerous certification programs. We help our signatory contractors grow their market share by identifying new opportunities, providing support and connecting them to the safest, most skilled and most highly trained workforce in the industry.
